This is an easy “sew and turn right-side-out design - no binding required.” You have the option to turn it right-side-out and stuff it with polyfil to use as a pillow if you choose, by simply eliminating the tabs.

I like to encourage stitchers to choose their favorite colors and patterns, brights, neutrals, primitives, fancies...whatever YOU like! Don't be afraid to experiment! As long as you have enough contrast between the backing fabric and the bird fabric, it will turn out great.
