My appliqued pumpkin wallhanging pattern is simple enough for beginners and for advanced stitchers as well. Feel free to add your own embellishments, such as buttons or lace, etc., to make it "your own." A great way to bring autumn into your home!

Pumpkin pie, Jack O' Lanterns, pumpkins on the porch, visits to the pumpkin patch: our perennial fall favorite! My design is ready for you to sew and hang all autumn long, from September to Thanksgiving! It's a simple, no fuss, “no accurate piecing skills necessary” pattern. You won't even have to sew a sleeve for hanging because my tabs sewn on with buttons are easy, quick and they add a dimensional and decorative touch as well!

I like to encourage stitchers to choose their favorite colors and patterns, brights, neutrals, primitives, fancies... whatever YOU like! Don't be afraid to experiment! The pumpkin is machine appliqued with a "fly" stitch to catch both edges of all pattern pieces, but a zigzag stitch is fine if that's all your machine offers. I suggest using a walking foot for the applique and for joining the front to the back.

Your finished creation will be approximately 17” wide x 19” high.
